Résumé :
|
Sexual and reproductive health is a part of personal life and well-being of all people that contributes to overall development of subjects and social groups. Vulvovaginal health and disorders are a major component of reproductive health. The true prevalence of vulvodynia is underestimated : epidemiologic studies employing questionnaires showed in women aged 18 or older a prevalence of 3.8-8.3% in all ethnic and cultural groups. The problem may affect the whole vulva (generalized vulvodynia) or a portion of the vulva (localised vulvodynia) such as the vestibule (vestibulodynia) or the clitoris (clitorodynia).
