Résumé : |
Recent studies have focused on the pseudo-psychological condition 'post abortion syndrome' [PAS] and women, particularly the content and veracity of these claims in the USA. What such claims say about men and the accuracy of these claims remains unclear.
Despite obvious weaknesses, PAS claims are continuing to gain traction in public discourse and policy, as anti-abortion groups seek to limit women's access to abortion by claiming women have no right to inflict psychological trauma on men and increase the stigma experienced by women who have abortions. In their efforts to expand the scope of anti-abortion arguments, anti-abortion forces are now attempting to move the battle lines to increase men's control over their partner's abortion decisions and thus further restrict women's access to abortion. |
